At the June meeting the focus was on part two of the study on “Progressive Christianity.” Discussion on the study wasn’t completed, but there was keen interest to engage with the remaining contents of the study. We will do this on the 19th.
The Puriri Centre: Where Community Blooms!
For the past 100 years, Takapuna Methodist Church has been a cornerstone of our vibrant community. Our doors have always been open, welcoming neighbours and friends for gatherings, laughter, and connection. And now, to reflect this spirit of shared space, we’re thrilled to announce a new name: The Puriri Centre!
Nestled at the gateway to Takapuna, this complex boasts a hall, lounge, church auditorium, carparks, and even a serene patch under our majestic Puriri tree (as well as the Richardson Centre and Lollipops Educare childcare centre). It’s a haven for diverse activities, from lively gatherings to quiet contemplation.
